Taking Control, Moving Ahead

I am creative, I am a dreamer, I am a realist, and I am an optimist.

If I am inspired by something, be it a job, a movie, a person, a book, I go full throttle.

I am loyal. I am playful. I am reliable.

In my life, I have been unmoored by sudden changes in trajectory and felt completely off-kilter.

My first marriage ended in divorce after 11 years together. I had been a young bride but was a suddenly single grown-up with no knowledge of solo-adulting or dating.

As a single person, I moved to a new city and was laid off from 4 jobs in 6 years.

It was painful and stressful, but it was overcome-able.

Ending a relationship doesn’t mean you are unloveable or undesirable. Losing a job doesn’t mean you will never find a job again or starve in the streets.

When these major losses happen, we grieve and feel cave-man fight-or-flight impulses, but we find one way to adapt, one behavior to change, and then another, and then another, until we are a brand new stronger and wiser version of ourselves.

If I look at my life timeline in the past 10 years, it is a lot. I lost a marriage, I lost jobs. I kept moving forward. I found love. I found a calling. I made a life.

I am not the only one to be faced by these challenges, so I want to build a community where people like us, who are beginning a long journey and don’t know what to do first, can learn from, give love to, and support one another.

One small change, one tiny rebrand, until you are living a masterpiece of a life beyond your wildest dreams.
